AG2R La Mondiale (ALM)

Jean-Christophe Péraud, the 37-year-old engineer and employee of energy group Areva, is one of the top riders of AG2R La Mondiale. The former world-class mountain biker weighs just 62 kg and is a mountain specialist. He and his French opponent Thibaut Pinot from FDJ gave one another a hard fight for a place on the podium in the 2014 Tour de France. Péraud made it into second place behind the Italian Vincenzo Nibali (AST). Pinot came third. The Tour de France is the declared aim and most important objective of the team sponsored by French insurance groups. Unsurprisingly, there are 19 Frenchmen in the pay of the team, with prestigious names such as Romain Bardet or also Christophe Riblon.
