FDJ stands for the French state lottery company, La Française des Jeux. It has been the sponsor of the team centred around cycling-mad manager and former professional rider Marc Madiot since 1997.

FDJ has a Swiss rider under contract in the form of 32-year-old Steve Morabito. The rider from Monthey in the Canton of Valais is an important helper, but he may well be allowed a few liberties on the Tour de Suisse. In addition to the young sprinter Arnaud Démare, FDJ has a complete rider in the team in Jérémy Roy, and Thibaut Pinot is also a tour specialist, having finished the 2014 Tour de France 2014 on the podium.

Since the outset, the team has ridden in the French national colours of royal blue, white and red, sporting a four-leafed clover.
