Movistar Team (MOV)

Nairo Quintana and Alejandro Valverde are both well-known names. The two stars have a chance of victory wherever they are on the start line.

But along with the stars, the Spanish Movistar team has a few other impressive names: Alex Dowsett is the only Brit riding for the Spaniards and on 2 May 2015 he made an attempt on the World Hour Record, which he improved to 52,937. It is quite possible that Movistar will send Italian time trial specialist Adriano Malori to Switzerland as an opponent for Fabian Cancellara. The general classification may be the target for young up-and-coming riders like Ion Izagirre, who came third in this year's Tour of the Basque Country, or Beñat Intxausti, third in the Tour of Andalusia.

The sponsor Movistar is a Spanish telecom/mobile phone company. The team rides in a dark blue jersey with a green logo and in 2014 the UCI, the International Cycling Union, awarded it team of the year.
