Team Katusha (KAT)

In the Norwegian Alexander Kristoff, Katusha has a top sprinter and classics rider under contract. In addition, Kristoff's appearances in the Tour de Suisse have so far always had a positive outcome. In 2013, he won the sprint in the 5th stage in Leuggern (Aargau), where he relegated Slovak Peter Sagan to second place after a wicked final climb.

This year the Norwegian's spring form seems to be unparalleled. For example, he came second in the Milan-San Remo, was victorious in the Tour of Flanders and won the Three Days of De Panne and the Flemish Scheldeprijs race. His loyal helper Luca Paolini also celebrated a win in the Gent-Wevelgem. It is also possible that the Russians will send Joaquim "Purito" Rodriguez to the Tour de Suisse. As the winner of this year's Tour of the Basque Country he is one of the riders who can make his mark on the general classification in the Tour de Suisse.

The Russian cycling project was developed in 2008. Team Katusha emerged from it. This was thanks to the CEOs of three major Russian companies: Sergey Chemezov of Rostec, Alexey Miller of Gazprom and Igor Makarov of ITERA. The team rides in the Russian national colours of white, blue and red.
