Trek - Segafredo (TFS)

In 2016, the team of American bike manufacturer Trek joined up with a European partner – Italian coffee roaster Segafredo. The jersey is easily identifiable in the race by its red shoulders and black pinstripe shorts.

Now that Fabian Cancellara has retired, Trek-Segafredo is focusing on some restructuring within the team. Alberto Contador of Spain switched from the now-defunct Team Tinkoff to the American team and is expected to put on a top performance during the grand tour races. John Degenkolb has now joined the team (from Giant-Alpecin) for the classics and sprints. It also looks as though Team Trek’s racer Jarlinson Pantano from Columbia has exactly what it takes for the general classification in the Tour de Suisse.

Gregory Rast is the only remaining Swiss racer on the team and is a key domestique. Born, raised and still living in Cham (Zug), Rast advances to become one of the local matadors of the first racing weekend in Cham, the Zug hub of the Tour de Suisse.
