TdS Kids World
Tour de Suisse with Kids World
Young people are particularly important to the Tour de Suisse and its partners. In collaboration with our partners, we will be setting up three different, exciting courses in Baar (start weekend) and in Davos Klosters (finish weekend) for two days in each case. The goal is to give children and young people a taste of various cycling disciplines, providing support in the form of specialists and technicians.
Jumbo agility course
The focus is on good bike handling on a tricky course. The route leads through various obstacles, depending on the age of the rider. Exercises that will noticeably improve safety on the road. The emphasis is not on speed, but on completing the tasks successfully.
opening hours: tba
Riders will quickly develop a feel for the bike while having fun on the artificially constructed mountain bike track with bumps and banked corners. They will receive instruction in the special riding technique, giving them a cooler feeling lap by lap. The course certainly requires a little courage from the rider.
Frisco Trial Workshop
On this course, the challenge is to master obstacles while making as little contact with the ground as possible, if any. Pallets, planks and other elements serve as obstacles. The bikes differ from standard or road bikes and will be made available to the kids. Active athletes will demonstrate their artistry in this discipline in brief shows.
The TdS Kids Worlds will take place directly in the start and finish areas of the Tour de Suisse in Baar and Davos Klosters, and will be signposted. Kids and young people are warmly welcome, along with their accompanying adults. Support teams will be there to provide instruction and guidance. Helmets will be provided. No registration is required. Personal insurance is obigatory for the kids taking part.
