The anniversary of the TdS could be just the event for Jean-Christophe Péraud. The 38-year-old came second overall in the 2014 Tour de France and is thus one of the top riders of AG2R La Mondiale. The former world-class mountain biker weighs just 62 kg and is a mountain specialist. Weighing in at just 65 kg, the 184-cm-tall 25-year-old Romain Bardet is also made for the mountains. Both riders are contenders for a top ranking in the Tour de France, making it the declared aim and most important objective of the team sponsored by French insurance groups. Unsurprisingly, there are 20 Frenchmen in the pay of the team.
