BMC Racing Team (BMC)

Two more Helvetian companies in the form of Swiss watch manufacturer Tag Heuer and Swiss cycling apparel producer Assos have joined the Grenchen-based bike manufacturer BMC as sponsors of the team.

For BMC Racing Team, which will line up in its red and black jerseys, success on home soil would therefore taste even sweeter.

Switzerland’s Stefan Küng, who (briefly) wore the yellow jersey on his TdS début last year, will again compete in the tour this summer.

Whether Rohan Dennis, winner of the two time trials, will contest the Tour de Suisse again has not yet been confirmed.

BMC tour leader Richie Porte from Australia is expected to line up, however. He will be supported by the American Tejay Van Garderen who won the seventh stage to Sölden in 2016.
