Traffic information Rheinfelden
Passage through Rheinfelden will be blocked to all traffic from the “Salmenpark” roundabout (locomotive sign) to the Magdenerstrasse turn-off on Monday, 13 June 2016 from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. for the duration of the activities of the Tour de Suisse 2016 with the stage finish in Rheinfelden and the attendant set-up and tear-down. All through-traffic will be rerouted via the A3 motorway. Coming from the east, the historic district can be reached via Salinenstrasse – Zollrain – Schützenweg or via Salinenstrasse – Zollrain – Geissgasse.
Bicyclists are free to pass through the historic district.
The Rheinfelden West motorway exit will be closed during the race. Motorists must expect significant traffic delays on all other roads.
Arrival and parking
Due to limited parking, Tour de Suisse visitors are kindly asked to use public transport wherever possible. The Tour de Suisse finish area is located on Kaiserstrasse/Baslerstrasse in downtown Rheinfelden.
Arrival by car
Take the A3 motorway, exit Rheinfelden Ost, or the K 292 cantonal road coming from Pratteln.
There is a limited number of free parking spaces available on Römerweg – it takes roughly 15 minutes to walk to the finish area. The route is marked by signs. The Schützenweg parking lot is closed, the “Rheinparking” parking garage cannot be accessed.
We urge all guests not to park in neighbourhoods or on the roadside to avoid problems for the racers, support vehicles or rerouted public transport.
Arrival by public transport
The finish area is near the Rheinfelden railway station. Buses coming from Möhlin and Magden cannot access the railway station. A temporary bus stop has been set up for buses coming from Magden (Line 100) at Theophil-Roniger-Strasse (near Feldschlösschen). Buses coming from Möhlin (Line 88) run up to the Altersheim Lindenpark bus stop.

Detours are clearly marked. In addition, traffic control officers will be deployed before the peloton arrives.
