Direct Energie (DEN) - Wildcard

The French team, which went by the name Europcar until four years ago, is competing in its 19th season since it was formed in 2000.

The French pro continental team is once again starting with a Tour de Suisse wild card, as it has done for the last two years.

With selected climbers and punchers, the French team and its leader Lilian Calmejane will be trying its best to win a stage and is sure to put in an eye-catching performance again at this year’s Tour de Suisse.

The biggest change for the 2019 season is the arrival of 2017 Tour of Flanders winner Niki Terpstra (formerly Quickstep). The Dutch cyclist last competed in the Tour de Suisse in 2014.
In the form of his fellow countryman Pim Ligthart and the Italian Niccolo Bonifazio, the French team has acquired some reinforcements for the new season.
