Once again this year the climb up to the Rettenbach Glacier at 2,700 metres above sea level represents the biggest challenge of the Tour de Suisse. On the way up to the glacier the riders will experience a tough battle of attrition. But it will be worth extracting the last reserves of energy from their bodies to get closer to the finish, metre by metre. The view of the climb they have completed will make the pain and effort give way to a feeling of pride and satisfaction.
After the Challenge they can make use of the outstanding infrastructure on the glacier. There are changing rooms available and the riders can have a meal in the Bergrestaurant as they follow the live transmission of the stage on TV. The day ends with the finish of the TdS professionals, which can be followed right there on the finish line. Definitely a goose-bumps moment!!!
