St. Urban - Moudon
On Wednesday, the "Challenger" will start in front of the baroque 18th century St. Urban monastery in western Switzerland. The 4th stage heads via Langenthal in the direction of Seeland across the central plateau. After passing through the medieval old town and across the old wooden bridge of Aarberg, the route continues to the northern shore of Lake Murten, famous for the wine of Mont Vully. Finally, from Estavayer-le-Lac the tour finds itself in the French-speaking part of the country. The riders will again drive an extra loop. The stage is mostly flat and a last chance to prepare the legs for the upcoming alpine passes for all participants which ride in the 8-day-package. For those, who only ride the first four stages, the NEW Tour de Suisse Challenge ends in Moudon.
