The Competence Center for Sports Management of the University of St. Gallen becomes educational partner of the Tour de Suisse and thus also of Cycling Unlimited AG in the field of Sports Management training.
Well known Sport Identities
With this partnership, the Tour de Suisse supports current and former sportsmen and women beyond their competitive careers, enabling them to make a successful transition into the business world. Several well-known Swiss athletes, such as Fränzi Aufdenblatten, Mark Streit, Marco Streller and Christoph Spycher, have already graduated from the University of St. Gallen. Cycling Unlimited Co-CEO Joko Vogel also has a special connection to the HSG: “As a CAS Sport Management alumnus, I am particularly pleased that we can count on a strong partner in the field of education with the Competence Center for Sport Management at the HSG.”

New beginning after the end
The CAS Sport Management of the HSG provides an ideal entry into a professional career for top athletes after or during their active sports career. The CAS Sport Management of the University of St. Gallen was launched 7 years ago and is highly regarded among managers of sports organisations and the private sector. Participants benefit not only from practice-oriented continuing education in the sports environment, but also from an international network of sports and business professionals.
Dr Christian Lang, Head of Sports Management at the University of St.Gallen: “Many athletes face a major professional challenge after their professional career. Many find themselves alone after their last competition. That’s why it’s all the more commendable that Cycling Unlimited, as the organiser of the Tour de Suisse, is taking a pioneering role here and supporting athletes not only during but also after their active careers.”
