In 30 days the best Pro cyclists will once again take to Swiss roads. Tissot, official timekeeper of the Tour de Suisse, presents the countdown to the Tour de Suisse 2022.

Timekeeping with Tradition
As a traditional brand, Tissot is firmly established in cycling. In addition to the three Grand Tours – the Tour de France, Giro d’Italia and Vuelta – Tissot also provides precise timing during the Tour de Suisse. This year’s Tour starts in Küsnacht in precisely one month. At Tissot, the anticipation for the Tour de Suisse is once again great: “We are very proud to be able to contribute to the smooth running of the Tour de Suisse by ensuring precise timekeeping. It is the perfect opportunity for us to demonstrate our expertise in this field,” says Tissot’s General Director, Sylvain Dolla.

As a trusted timekeeper, Tissot is essential at the Tour de Suisse. Whether it be for the General Classification or during the Time Trials, timekeeping must be meticulous. Every second can mean the difference between victory and defeat. For this reason, the Tour de Suisse has relied on Tissot’s experience for years. “During each stage, the cyclists fight for seconds. Thanks to Tissot’s expertise, we know that the timekeeping is impeccable,” says Tour Director Olivier Senn.

Here are some impressions from last year.

T-Touch Connect Solar
The high standards that the Tissot brand sets for itself ensure the continued development of ever more innovative timepieces whilst maintaining traditional watchmaking craftsmanship. In 2020, Tissot achieved a great accomplishment by launching its first “connected” watch, the T-Touch Connect Solar. Developed entirely in Switzerland right down to the operating system, this hybrid watch combines smartphone connectivity, touch control and solar charging. It has several functions in connected mode (SMS, activity tracker, notifications), as well as all the functions of a classic timepiece (perpetual calendar, countdown timer, alarm, weather functions, etc.). Moreover, it boasts an extremely long operating reserve of at least 6 months without recharging and an almost infinite running time in offline mode.

The navigation system has been developed so that its use is compatible with practising any type of sport in the great outdoors: hiking, climbing, cycling, basketball, etc. Whether worn for sport or daily life, the Tissot T-Touch Connect Solar offers numerous possible uses to its wearer.
