The traditional coffee company from Ticino is now awarding the prize to the best climber in the peloton.
The family business from Balerna offers a wide range of coffee products, from roasted beans to ground coffee and capsules for various coffee machines. This traditional company roasts and produces exclusively in Ticino and can therefore monitor the process very precisely and guarantee the highest quality.
The family business, which celebrates its 70th anniversary this year, is strongly represented in Switzerland in the retail, gastronomy and business sectors.
Last season, the Ticinese joined the Tour de Suisse as official coffee suppliers and thus gained their first experience of the Tour of Switzerland.
For the current season Chicco d’Oro will now award the mountain prize jersey, which is highly coveted among riders, to the leader of the mountain prize ranking.
“At Chicco d’Oro we live for the pleasure of coffee, so we have a natural affinity for the mountain specialists – we both want to reach high altitudes with passion and spare no effort”, says Vittorio Maspoli, explaining the commitment of Chicco d’Oro.
“The visibility on the podium and in the driver’s field is an extremely attractive advertising platform for us. Like the Tour de Suisse, we at Chicco d’Oro are represented throughout Switzerland with our 100 employees, on the road to our customers, no matter how remote”.
And for the hot days of June, Chicco d’Oro from Ticino has a natural and refreshing energy booster in its range with its “105” iced coffee, which will get both riders and spectators over the mountain.
