The 2018 Tour de Suisse gets off to a brilliant start with an opening team time trial in Frauenfeld.

After more than 15 years the special discipline is back on the TdS race schedule.

When the top cycling teams compete on the circuit in Frauenfeld on Saturday, 9 June, racing spectacle is guaranteed. The audience in Frauenfeld can enjoy pure dynamics and elegance when the Siebner formations race over the course on their aerodynamic racing machines.

As on the track, the team shares the leadership and tries to benefit from the slipstream of the front rider as much as possible.

Starting weekend in Frauenfeld

On the TdS starting weekend at the Hub-Frauenfeld, a concentrated load of racing spectacle will take place in a very confined space; in addition to the team time trial on Saturday, a circuit race over several laps is on the programme on Sunday. In addition, national and international exhibitors will once again be showing their latest products at the Bike-Expo, and in the Kids World the little ones can test their skills on the various bike courses for two days.

Final stroke in Bellinzona

The final weekend in Bellinzona features a circuit on Saturday and a final individual time trial on Sunday. Both races promise racing pleasure and excitement – it is quite possible that the decision for the overall victory will only be made on the last day of the time trial.

The southernmost canton is known for its family atmosphere – here, cycling is a popular festival.

In the old town, the TdS-Village will invite you to stroll around. As in Frauenfeld, attractions such as Kids World and Bike Expo will round off the offer in Bellinzona.

In addition, the popular TdS Challenge will also be held this year. The Everyman races offer hobby riders the opportunity to compete on the original TdS tracks at the Frauenfeld hub (stage 1 & 2) as well as Bellinzona (stage 9).
