With the finish of the 3rd stage on Monday 19 June 2023 as well as a circuit on 20 June 2023, with start and finish in Ebnat-Kappel, the Tour de Suisse Women will be decided after four satages in the Toggenburg municipality.
Tour Director, Olivier Senn, comments on the ongoing preparations: “This year’s Tour de Suisse showed how much interest the public have in the national tour. The Tour de Suisse Women, which we will be holding for the first time at the highest level as a Women’s WorldTour, will be given a new status. The fact that we were able to find a stage location in Ebnat-Kappel that supports women’s cycling and brings a lot of attention to it is even nicer.”
The twin village of Ebnat-Kappel is located in Toggenburg (Canton St. Gallen) and forms the gateway to Obertoggenburg, the tourist region between the seven distinctive Churfirsten peaks and the Säntis. The hilly landscape with the typical scattered settlement structure is ideal for offering the riders of the Tour de Suisse Woman an attractive and not too easy route.
