A sparkling refreshment during the Tour de Suisse 2021.
Like the professional cyclists, Tour de Suisse fans should drink enough on hot June days. To ensure that no one is left thirsty at the finish of each stage, Fizzy will provide tasty refreshment with its signature Gazzose Ticinesi. In 2021, Fizzy will be at the Tour de Suisse for the fourth consecutive time. This year, the Tour de Suisse entourage will again make a short trip to Switzerland’s sunniest region. On the 6th stage from Fiesch to Disentis-Sedrun, the world’s best cyclists will ride through the Valle di Blenio and the Val Bedretto – just a few kilometres from the production site of Gazzose Ticinesi SA.

Over 130 years of tradition
The traditional company from Personico in Leventina produces its Gazzose using a recipe from 1890! The typical Ticino drink is carbonated and available in lemon, mandarin, raspberry, nutmeg and blueberry flavours. Only natural products and colourings are used in the production of Fizzy, which are then mixed with water from the spring “Pont da Picol”, at an altitude of 1’000 metres in Val Nadro. The family business works in accordance with international standards and constantly strives to evolve with the times and further reduce the sugar content of its beverages.

*For several months, the Organising Committee has been in close consultation with all the organisations and authorities concerned.
Obviously, the most critical issues relate to gatherings of people, such as the various spectator attractions like the TdS Village, VIP areas, publicity caravans and the so on. The large number of spectators along the route is a challenge for a viable protection strategy as well. For these reasons, it remains uncertain in what form the Tour de Suisse 2021 and thus also the activities planned by Fizzy will proceed.
