The Tour de Suisse 2019 leads to the sun terrace above Lake Walen.
InfrontRingier AG, as the Tour de Suisse organiser, is delighted to be able to lead the national tour in 2019 to the stage finish at Flumserberg.
“The return to Flumserberg is a great joy for the Tour de Suisse.” Olivier Senn, Director General of TdS, was quoted as saying at the signing ceremony.
The Flumserberg has already been on the route plan of the Tour de Suisse 5 times, in 2013 even as the destination of the national tour.
“The biker network continues the tradition and is looking forward to the Tour de Suisse, because the ingredients with thrilling sport, exciting stories and international flair guarantee enthusiasm and attention among the population”. Roger Walser, Managing Director BikeNetzwerk AG is convinced.
The excursion destination Flumserberg not only attracts mountain bikers with bike routes and bike trails but also offers a crisp final climb that guarantees exciting finishes. In 1995 the Italian mountain specialist Marco Pantani won here.
“The hard final climb is in the middle of a magnificent and typical Swiss landscape including a lake and a striking mountain panorama. These are the best conditions for unforgettable TV pictures,” Olivier Senn enthuses about the Tour de Suisse.
