The field of riders in the 82nd Tour de Suisse is more crowded than almost any other event in recent years.
From a Swiss perspective, Mathias Frank is a contender for the podium. And also Stefan Küng – who already wore the yellow jersey last year – and Silvan Dillier will be able to figure things out.
Last year’s overall winner Simon Spilak (Katusha-Alpecin) will have competition from such illustrious names as Nairo Quintana (Movistar), Richie Porte (BMC), Bauke Mollema (Trek-Segafredo), Rui Costa (UAE Emirates), Jakob Fuglsang (Astana), Steven Kruijswijk (Lotto NL – Jumbo) and the Izagirre brothers (Bahrain-Merida).
TdS record holder Peter Sagan will be competing against the crème de la crème of the sprinters in the stage cleaners: André Greipel (Lotto Soudal), Fernando Gaviria (Quick-step Floors), Greg van Avermaet (BMC), Alexander Kristoff (UAE Emirates), Michael Matthew (Sunweb), Arnaud Demare (Groupama – FDJ) and Sonny Colbrelli (Bahrain-Merida) are all registered.
HERE IS THE PROVISIONAL DRIVER’S LIST.
