There are a few new faces in the TdS team for the new racing season. Here we would like to introduce you to our new division managers:

Gregor Gut | Head of Start, Kids World & Bike Expo:

Brief description:
Get the best mix of exhibitors for the Bike-Expo.
Also to find helpers from local associations, bicycle clubs or sports offices to organise the kids’ course. Awakening joy in cycling in general and in the Tour de Suisse among the youngest – they are the future of the Tour de Suisse.

Motivation:
As a former racing cyclist, the great passion for cycling will never let me go! Added to this is the fascination of being part of the organisation of one of the largest Swiss sports events.

Special:
During the TdS engagement you get to know a lot of people and I like the positive atmosphere and solution-oriented handling of new tasks by everyone (staff and local OK’s, helpers).

Ueli Anken | Head of Media Office:

Brief description:
Images, words, sounds: that’s what the media people work with. The media service ensures good working conditions. The task begins long before A for accreditation and only really gets underway after Z for finish line.

Motivation:
Radio, press, TV, web: Journalistic eyes, hands and mouth knows many forms. The professionals with camera, microphone and notepad must be able to rely on content and technology in a short period of time. This is what we as the TdS media team stand for together with the media representatives of the stage locations.

Special:
Cycling and writing: These two passions have been with me since I was a child. One became a hobby, the other a profession. The spark for the merger was given by a tweet from Kurt Betschart. I like tweets like that. And I look forward to working behind the scenes of the Tour de Suisse. Vive le vélo!

Rik Sauser / Sauser Event | Area Manager Track Advertising & TdS Challenge:

Brief description:
Complete organisation and responsibility for the TdS-Challenge area as well as the track advertising.
A special feature is the art of integrating the concerns of the Everyman Race into a World Tour race, so that both events harmonize with each other!

Motivation:
On the one hand, my motivation is the love and passion for cycling, and especially for the participants of the TdS Challenge and spectators to organize a perfect event. An event that will be remembered and spectators and participants will feel comfortable.
For our team it is a great feeling when the TdS-Challenge participants happy and happily arrive at the finish line!

Special:
I was born with a passion for cycling – with my first name I could only become a cyclist. When I was a little boy, I was already standing at the side of the road with my father in the Tour de Suisse and now to be part of the organisation is of course a great thing!

Silvan Erdin | head of the advertising column:

Brief description:
Together with my team I am responsible for a safe advertising column. We try to give the sponsors and spectators a great and unforgettable first impression of the Tour de Suisse.
It is important to inform the sponsors daily about the special features of the track.

Motivation:
I’m looking forward to the euphoric cycling fans when we ride through the most beautiful regions of Switzerland.
The challenge will be to position the advertising column as well as possible so that as many fans as possible can be spoiled by the sponsors with give-aways. Nevertheless we should not be too close before the race.

Special:
Even as a young boy, the advertising column was one of the highlights of a visit to the Tour de Suisse. Now, as a cycling fan, it makes me proud to be part of the largest cycling sporting event in Switzerland.
