Traffic information Weesen/Amden

Arriving individually

Travelling from all directions via Highway A3 / Take the Weesen Amden exit to Weesen or Amden. Then use the shuttle buses to the finish area in Amden-Arvenbüel.

Visitor parking is available in Weesen and Amden: Please note the local traffic rules.

Arriving by public transport

The easiest way is to arrive in Weesen or Amden by bus and train on the day of the event. Take the train to the Ziegelbrücke SBB railway station, then the bus straight to the start area in Weesen (Weesen, See stop) or finish area in the Arvenbüel district (Arvenbüel, Arven stop). The online timetable or SBB app provides the latest schedules.

Traffic restrictions

Weesen, Hauptstrasse (between Spar and Weesen, See):

10am – 12pm: Single-lane traffic only, meaning there could be delays.

12.30pm – 12.45pm: Hauptstrasse is blocked off during the start of stage 6. 

Amden, Dorfstrasse / Arvenbüelstrasse (between Amden, Vorderdorf and Arvenbüel):

From 7.30am: The affected street is only open to race vehicles, residents, TdS officials, ambulances and emergency vehicles on the day of the event. 

Weesen – Arvenbüel, Hauptstrasse / Amdenerstrasse / Dorfstrasse / Arvenbüelstrasse:

4.45pm – 5.45pm: The road is blocked off to all traffic while the racers and accompanying vehicles are passing through. 

Weesen, Städli: The Städtli will be closed to cars from 6pm on Wednesday 15 June 2016 to 2pm on Thursday 16 June 2016. Substitute public car parks will be located south of Villa Kurfürst (same entry as Spar).
