The American team with its Italian co-sponsor is the new home of Tour de Suisse winner Richie Porte.
With the Colombian Jarlinson Pantano and the Dutchman Bauke Mollema, who has finished in the top 10 of the Tour de France on multiple occasions, Trek-Segafredo has two more riders who are predestined for the general classification of the Tour de Suisse.
Mollema has already finished the tour in second place overall, back in 2013. Pantano (still riding in the colours of IAM at the time) won the final stage of the TdS 2016 on a summit finish and ended the tour in fourth place overall.
The Belgian classics specialist Jasper Stuyven, who rode very aggressively and conspicuously last year, has already been confirmed for this year’s tour.
