The monastery of St. Urban is one of the most outstanding examples of Cistercian architecture and cultural monuments in Switzerland. Construction of the monastery complex dates back to as early as 1194, while the current church was built in 1715. With its exciting history and wide range of cultural activities, the former monastery is an ideal destination for a day trip. Concerts, art exhibitions and guided tours of the church’s state rooms are all available.
