Checkpoints are locations you need to visit in order to receive a badge in the ranking. Each host city of the Tour de Suisse is a checkpoint. However, there are also additional checkpoints that are part of the route but not official host cities. This includes bonus checkpoints such as Chur or the Live Event Checkpoint. These checkpoints are treated equally to the host cities checkpoints.<\/p>\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n\n

It is sufficient to visit the municipality of the host city or bonus checkpoint, meaning you just need to reach the municipal boundary. Ideally, you should plan a bike tour that passes through the respective municipality. Route suggestions can be found on the checkpoint landing pages.<\/p>\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n\n

Participation is free of charge. You can join digitally using your fitness tracker or bike computer (Garmin and\/or Strava).<\/p>\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n\n

Register on this website and connect your preferred sports platform (Strava or Garmin Connect). Record your cycling activity using a GPS device or GPS app (e.g. Strava app) and sync it with the connected platform. Your activity must be publicly visible.<\/p>

Alternatively, you can also participate without a sports platform and use the Check-In directly on site.<\/p>\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n\n

Yes, you can also take part in the TdS Explorer without a sports app.<\/p>

If you registered without a sports app such as Strava or Garmin, you can verify your location using the Check-In below.<\/p>

To do so, open the linked page on your smartphone when you are at the respective checkpoint and verify your location.<\/p>

From 3 completed checkpoints, you are automatically entered into the prize draw.<\/p>

For each additional checkpoint, you receive one extra ticket. This means: the more checkpoints you collect, the higher your chances of winning.<\/p>

Example: If you complete all checkpoints, you will have multiple tickets in the draw.<\/p>

The Live Event Checkpoint is a special bonus checkpoint. You receive this badge if you visit an official TdS stage location on site during the event.<\/p>

Important:<\/strong> The visit must take place on the exact event day (June 17\u201321, 2026) when the Tour de Suisse is present at that location. Only then will the badge be awarded.<\/p>\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n\n

The matching is based on a comparison between your completed route and a GPX reference file. This uses the GPX matching system from LaceUp<\/a>. Your results will be automatically synced after your ride. To be scored, your activity on Strava must be public; with Garmin Connect, private activities are also accepted.<\/p>\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n\n

Bike tours and other visits on foot will be accepted from the opening of registration until the end of September. Final dates for the conclusion of the TdS Explorer will be communicated during the summer.<\/p>\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n\n

If your activity is not recognized due to a technical error and is not counted, we can manually register it (how? see below). If the error is user-caused (e.g., wrong navigation), we unfortunately cannot add it manually.<\/p>\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n\n

After uploading, your activity is automatically synchronized with the LaceUp system and compared to the reference routes. If the activity includes one or more checkpoints, you receive a badge for each checkpoint you visited. The time taken does not matter.<\/p>\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n\n
