In Chur it is the other way round. After hosting the women&#8217;s race in 2022, Switzerland&#8217;s oldest City is now a start venue for the Tour de Suisse Men.<\/h5>\n<p><strong>Tour de Suisse Women<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Gstaad last hosted a stage of the Tour de Suisse Men in 2021. Back then, Swiss cyclist Stefan Bissegger was the first to cross the finish line on the airfield runway. <em>\u201cWe are delighted that Gstaad is now also hosting the women&#8217;s race,\u201d<\/em> says Tour Director Olivier Senn. The Tour de Suisse Women starts on Thursday 12th June 2025 with the program beginning on the evening before with the Team presentation.<\/p>\n<p>Stage One will start and finish in Gstaad. Route architect David Loosli is not yet revealing the exact course: <em>&#8220;The route has not yet been defined in detail. However, it can be said that it will not be an easy start with considerable elevation gain to contend with.&#8221;<\/em> The second Stage will also start in Gstaad but it is not yet decided where it will finish.<\/p>\n<p>The mountain village in the Bernese Oberland is known for its idyllic scenery and chalet houses. It is also a favourite destination for cycling aficionados. The Tour returns to Switzerland&#8217;s oldest city on Friday 20th June, having already been a Host City for the women&#8217;s race three years before. <em>\u201cIn Chur we have found the missing piece of the puzzle for the men&#8217;s Tour de Suisse 2025. As a start location it is ideally situated between the previous day&#8217;s finish in Santa Maria and the finish of the proposed day&#8217;s stage in Neuhausen am Rheinfall,\u201d<\/em> says David Loosli.<\/p>\n<p>The Bike Kingdom e-bike festival in Chur will take place at the same time on 20th and 21st June. Visitors can test the latest e-bikes and explore the region on two wheels right next to the Brambr\u00fcesch cable car and the Tour de Suisse start area. <em>\u201cThe Tour de Suisse Stage start in Chur is a highlight for our city. In combination with the e-bike festival, we can look forward to a weekend dedicated to cycling &#8211; Chur is showing itself to be an active, sustainable and sports-friendly destination,\u201d<\/em> says Organising Committee President Victor H.
