The first Host Cities for next year have been decided.

As announced prior to the Tour de Suisse 2024, next year’s women’s race will take place before that of the men. The 2nd stage finishes at Schwarzsee in Fribourg with a gentle ascent. On the following day, the stage finish is in Heiden (AR) which is at the other end of Switzerland. “To get to Heiden on Tuesday 17th June we need a Host City in the Mittelland,” says David Loosli. Without this additional Host City the stage would be too long in terms of race regulations, Loosli continues. Heiden is also the starting point for Stage 4, which then heads to Valtellina in Italy. It is the first time in its history that the Tour de Suisse will be visiting this area. The region is excited to welcome the Tour of Switzerland as a stage finish. It is not yet clear where exactly the stage will end, but with the many Alpine passes in the region, there is no doubt it will be spectacular.

The second half of the Tour starts in La Punt and heads from to Santa Maria in Calanca (GR), making it the second mountain finish in a row. The start location of stage 6 is still undecided, but the arrival in eastern Switzerland, or Neuhausen am Rheinfall to be precise, has is confirmed. The most famous waterfall in Switzerland is the starting point on the following day and the Tour de Suisse comes full circle in central Switzerland. Stage 7 to Emmetten (NW) and the mountain Time Trial from Beckenried (NW) up to the Stockhütte should ensure a battle to the end on the last two days of the Tour de Suisse 2025*.

1st Stage – Sunday 15.06.25

Küssnacht

Küssnacht

2nd Stage – Monday 16.06.25

Pending

Schwarzsee

3rd Stage – Tuesday 17.06.25

Pending

Heiden

4th Stage – Wednesday 18.06.25

Heiden

Region Veltlin (ITA)

5th Stage – Thursday 19.06.25

La Punt

Santa Maria in Calanca

6th Stage – Friday 20.06.25

Pending

Neuhausen am Rheinfall

7th Stage – Saturday 21.06.25

Neuhausen am Rheinfall

Emmetten

8th Stage – Sunday 22.06.25

Beckenried

Stockhütte

*The organising committee for the Tour de Suisse stages around Beckenried-Emmetten has recently been formed and is now starting preparations.
