After the participation of Tadej Pogačar was announced last weekend, another high-profile name has now been confirmed: defending champion and ITT World Champion Marlen Reusser will return to the Tour de Suisse in 2026.
The Swiss rider dominated the previous edition with an impressive performance, securing the overall victory in convincing fashion. As the reigning world champion in the individual time trial, she is once again among the top favourites – both against the clock and in the general classification.
With the early confirmations of Tadej Pogačar and Marlen Reusser, the new Tour de Suisse format to be introduced in 2026 also receives strong sporting validation. For the first time, men’s and women’s races will be held in parallel: over five days, two stages will take place each day, with both races starting and finishing in the same location. The compact concept, featuring a total of ten stages, stands for innovation, interaction and Swissness, creating an intense experience for fans, media and partners alike.
“We are very pleased about the confirmations of Tadej Pogačar and Marlen Reusser. The fact that two world-class athletes have committed early clearly shows that our new format is generating strong interest and is convincing from a sporting perspective,” says Tour Director Olivier Senn.
Further information on participating riders, stages and the supporting programme of the Tour de Suisse 2026 will be announced in the coming months.
