Sondrio
The Stage at a Glance
Commentary by David Loosli
This year, the Tour de Suisse Women begins with a selective stage around Sondrio.
After around 40 to 50 flat kilometres, the route transitions into a constantly undulating section. Compared to the men’s stage, the finale is slightly shorter.
Nevertheless, a sprint finish is unlikely here as well. The stage is expected to create early gaps and favour riders who are comfortable in rolling terrain.
