Bad Ragaz
Stage Overview
Commentary by David Loosli
This year, Stage 3 of the women’s race presents itself as a classic sprint stage.
The stage also starts over the St. Luzisteig, but afterwards the route remains largely flat. Parts of the course run along the Rhine dam towards Altstätten, where the riders turn and begin the return to Bad Ragaz.
Apart from a smaller mountain classification in the middle of the stage, there are hardly any elevation gains to tackle. The scenario is therefore clear: the sprinters will want to take advantage of this opportunity and are likely to battle it out for the stage win among themselves.
