This DNA carries across their racing activities, including their transport policies and race set-up. Team Maxx-Solar encourages the use of trains and ride sharing on short and continental trips, avoiding planes as much as possible. They also avoid the use of team buses, which significantly contribute to a team’s emission during a race. Athletes are transferred to hotels in team cars, or ride to the hotels if race circumstances require it.
It is worth noting their efforts as a women continental team with limited resources. Even small organizations can take action. Furthermore, it can make sense to do so financially.
